Komodo island (Pulau Komodo in Bahasa Indonesia), A-small island at the west side of Flores Island, located between Sumbawa, (west Nusa Tenggara) and Flores (East Nusa Tenggara) is home to the Komodo Dragon (Varanus Komodensis)- the largest 'prehistoric' lizard in the world. actually named "Giant Lizard". These amazing reptiles roam freely and are fast runners as well as strong climbers, powerful diggers and good swimmers. They can kill buffalo, deer, and even cannibalize their own kind. No wonder they have survived for more than ten million years!
